Multimedia Advocacy

Multimedia Advocacy is an approach developed by The Rix Centre for using words, pictures, videos and sounds as a way of conveying preferences and viewpoints.

Support staff and people with intellectual and communication disabilities work together, learning from each other as they develop multimedia person centred portfolios.

We offer a range of Multimedia Advocacy courses and workshops that will help you to transform your practice and empower the people you support.

Please note that we are currently in the process of reviewing and redeveloping our existing course provision. The courses that we offer will be changing to better meet the needs of health, education and social care professionals.

Our new provision will include a range of online distance learning and face-to-face courses. Information about our new courses will be available in late autumn 2014.

If you would like us to send you course information when it becomes available please email us at
